The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is an excellent option if you're seeking a robot vacuum and mop that is mid-range. It gives a great mopping experience but lacks the features that make up its more expensive counterpart.
During testing it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats from medium-pile carpets. It doesn't employ LIDAR however, like cheaper models do to identify your home.
1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot
The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the most highly-rated robots. It is loaded with features and impressive cleaning power, including the dirt compartment built into the charging base. This robot can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest automatic schedules for a truly hands-free experience.
It's easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once the system is in place, you can start cleaning automatically with just one button click. You can select the general clean option that focuses on the removal of larger particles like rice and cereal. Or you can choose two mappings to ensure that your home is thoroughly cleaned.
This vacuum works well on both floors with no carpet and carpets with low pile. It can remove pet hair and sucks large items up. It doesn't lose its suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It's not able to work with plush or high-pile carpets, but iRobot says that future models will be more efficient.
The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that focuses on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that has a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes that this will allow it hug the furniture and walls. It's an improvement over the hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are standard however we found it to be just marginally superior to circular models.
iRobot also claims the S9+ comes with an improved filtering system that blocks microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating in your home. We like the statement, but not enough to justify a higher price.
Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors to store the layout of your home and vSLAM to map the interior of your home. It then cleans your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundaries so that the robot can determine the areas that require attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
When it comes to robots that combine mopping and vacuuming the Roborock Q Revo stands out. Its vacuum settings are as good as those on more expensive models. And its mopping system is superior because its spinning pads scrub floors better than the vibrating pads.
The only downside is that it lacks a second rubber brush to provide more thorough cleaning, but that's a small cost to pay for if you want to get one of the best robots available. The dust tank on the robovac is bigger than most of its competitors, and filling it takes just two or three times, even when you've got the most dirt.
For the mopping device, I was impressed by its ability to scrub the tough dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping modes that are less abrasive than the high-powered ones, generate very little noise, which allows you to work or watch TV without interruption. If it comes into contact with a wall or furniture piece, it gently bumps into it and then moves along.
What really makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost autonomously with very little need for human intervention. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that automatically transfers physical trash to the hidden bin and washes and drys the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app is capable of notifying you when something is in need of attention, such as the water tank being empty or a scheduled vacuuming session that was cancelled due to a full dust bin.
You can also design and merge rooms to modify how the Q Revo treats your abode. That's a handy feature if you have multiple areas of the home with different flooring materials or if there's clutter that needs to be removed regularly, such as toys, clothes, and books. The robot vacuum was also one of the best performers in my test and was able to remove debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors on the first pass. It can even vacuum up wet spills. I suggest drying them with a towel before sending it in.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo that comes with all the features you could wish for. It comes with an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It's similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has an auto-cleaning base station that automatically empty and cleans the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for use again. 4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a high-end mop and vacuum robot that comes with a variety of features that you don't often see on robots of this price. It can make detailed floor maps and identify different types of flooring. It's also one of the few robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. Although these features are nice to have, they also put the L10s Ultra in the category of luxury, which might make it slightly more expensive than what some homeowners need.
It is designed to look like a contemporary floor cleaner The L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device that has an elegant white finish enhanced by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine has an enormous bumper that shields the vacuum cleaner and furniture as you move around your home.
