The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is an excellent option for those looking for an affordable mop and robot vacuum. It has a great mopping performance but lacks some of the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.
During testing it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats from medium-pile carpets. It doesn't use LIDAR, however, as cheaper models do, to map your home.
iRobot Roomba s9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the most highly-rated robots. It has impressive cleaning power and a variety of features that include the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. It can also learn your habits of cleaning and suggest schedules that are automatic to provide a hands-free and effortless experience.
The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once everything is connected, you can start the automatic cleaning functions at the click of the button. You can choose an overall clean that focuses on cleaning up larger debris like cereal and rice or go for two thorough mappings of your space to ensure your entire home gets a proper look.
This robot vacuum is effective on both floors with no carpet and carpets with low pile. It can pick up pet hair and clean big objects up. It doesn't lose suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with high-pile or plush carpet, but iRobot promises it will improve with the next models.
The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that concentrates on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba that uses an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes this will allow it to fit into the furniture and walls. It's a nice improvement over the standard hockey puck shape of the majority of robovacs. However, we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.
iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with a superior filtration system which blocks microscopic particles and allergens recirculating within your home. We like the statement but not enough to justify a premium price.
Its intelligent navigation system makes use of a combination of sensors to remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology to map your interior. It then cleans your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and set virtual boundaries so that the robot knows the areas that require attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vac settings are just as effective as those of more expensive models and its mopping system is superior, as its spinning pads do a more impressive job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.
The only downside is that it does not have an additional rubber brush to allow for deeper cleaning, but that's an affordable cost to pay if are looking for one of the top robots on the market. The robo-vac's tank for dust is also bigger than those on many of its competitors, and it takes just two or three cycles to fill it up, even at the highest dirt level.
In terms of the mopping device, I was impressed by its ability to scrub the tough dirt off my floors. The two mopping modes that it has, which are less aggressive than the more powerful ones, create minimal noise, allowing you to work or even watch TV without interruption. It will gently hit furniture or walls and then move on whenever it comes across one.
The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost autonomously, with little user involvement. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that automatically transfers physical trash into the bin hidden from view and also cleans and drys the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app will only alert you when something is not right for example, a low clean water tank or a cancelled vacuuming session due to an empty bin.
You can also create and combine actual rooms to customize how the Q Revo manages your home. This feature is beneficial if you have different flooring in different areas of your home or if you need to regularly clear out clutter such as clothes, toys and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, removing debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first attempt. It is able to even clean up spills that are wet however I would recommend cleaning them off using a clean cloth before bringing the robot into.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo that has all the features you can need. It has an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It's akin to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has an auto-cleaning base station that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads, keeping them free of germs and ready to use again. It also comes with a sensor that can detect obstacles better and prevents it from falling on furniture or other objects.
The most notable improvement to the ECOVACS X1 Deebot is its sleeker, more modern design. This is due to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. Although it's still quite large--it's more than two feet in height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds--the robot itself and its base are much smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.
This model is also more efficient than the X1, as it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can handle a full cleaning of about 1,500 square feet with just one charge. It also has a bigger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris and is easier to empty when required.
Lastly it is worth noting that sweep and mop robot the X2 Omni has a more user-friendly app and an assistant voice that works offline, allowing you to use it even if you're not at home. It also comes with more mopping options and an intelligent routing feature which allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of simply following a predetermined path.
The X2 Omni is the most effective mopping robot. Its mop pads rotating clean tough stains and its motor produces lots of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also excellent, and it increases suction when it detects a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It also has a huge battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as effective as any we've seen in an ordinary robot.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a high-end model that comes with a variety of features that aren't often found on robots in this price range. It can make detailed floor maps and detect different flooring types. It's also among the few robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. While these features are great however, they also make the L10s Ultra more in the category of luxury which could make it a little more expensive than the average homeowner require.
The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It is slim and tall, with a white finish, accentuated by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper that helps protect furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage when moving around the house. In the pane in the front is an additional navigation technology in the form of sensors that help the L10s Ultra maneuver tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button which is used as an on/off switch. Pressing this will activate the vacuum, and clicking it again will turn off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The center of the control panel includes a circular menu that lets you choose cleaning modes, schedules, and preferences. The left and right buttons will allow you to access the settings in the app, where you can alter the way the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technology to help you map out your home. This allows the robot to clean and mop efficiently, without getting stuck. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and identify them as obstacles, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or small children.
The L10s Ultra is an extremely powerful vacuum cleaner, which removes 98.4 percent of the debris we test on hard floors and removing all but stubborn juice stains. The mops are also efficient, clearing 98.4 percent of the debris that was found on our tile, wood, and carpet tests. It was not as efficient in removing sand from the hard flooring or quaker oats off the carpet.
